Grading Information & Rubric Below is a general description of how the grading information will breakdown. Class participation – 25%Project 1 – 15%Project 2 – 20%Quizzes – 20%Final Exam – 20%Total – 100%Grading DescriptionA – Outstanding – performs above and beyond what the class and school expectsB – Superior – performs above what the class and the school expectsC – Good – performs at grade level for the course and schoolD – Substandard – perform below level for the course and schoolF – Fail – does not meet the minimum required for the course and school.Below is an example of the class rubric. The top score for each is 5 points, they will decrease depending on where the student falls. 1. Quality of posting/assignment a. 5 (highest score) – Proper information used in order to complete assignment/posting. It reflects the readings and class materials usedb. 3 (middle) – Some information used in order to complete assignment/positing. Reflects a portion of the reading and class materials used. c. 1 (lowest) – Not relevant to the course and does not answer the questions posed for the assignment/posting.2. Quality of knowledge showcaseda. 5 (highest score) – Assignment/posting is relevant to the course and information used supports your opinion by using factual information. b. 3 (middle) – Assignment/posting is relevant to the course, but information used doesn’t fully support your opinion.c. 1 (lowest) – Not relevant to the course and does not answer the questions posed for the assignment/posting.3.
